Cleo is 12 years old. We rescued her two years ago from a busy road. She was disoriented, waiting for someone to help her, and of course, we were there at that exact moment and place. Cleo has a heart murmur, her teeth were in terrible condition, and she had a gum infection. After antibiotic treatment, several teeth and molars had to be extracted because her gums were rotting, creating a gap on the side of her jaw that prevented her from eating and caused her intense pain. Cleo is almost completely deaf. She has a lump on her chest that, so far, isn't malignant, but we decided not to remove it because it's a very invasive procedure for her age. She also has senile dementia, which makes her disoriented, and mild incontinence. So, her list of medications is long to keep her stable. Despite all her health issues, she's a happy senior dog who loves to eat and runs around like a happy bunny when she sees us coming. She's the sweetest thing in the world; we love her.
