Rocco is 9 years old. We rescued him two years ago from a place where he was abused and forced to breed for his entire life, living outside with sun and rain, tied up alongside his two siblings and one of his daughters. He was malnourished, infested with parasites, and suffered from both physical and emotional wounds. He has chronic arthritis in his front legs, which are deformed, and although he can walk, they cause him a lot of pain. He needs medication and special food for his joints. He spent over a year recovering at a veterinary daycare, and a few months ago he was in several foster homes. We had to make him prosthetics that he must wear constantly to straighten his legs and provide better support and mobility. Rocco has a long list of essential medications to keep him pain-free.
