Alegría (Joy) was rescued a year ago while running down the street, dodging cars that nearly hit her. The pack's grandpa saw her in danger and didn't hesitate to catch her with a shoelace, and she's been part of our pack ever since. She's two years old, medium-sized, athletic, and so special because she's perfect and so precious that we can't even begin to describe it! Her health is perfect; although she's missing one eye, her other eye is completely healthy. Arturito
Arturito was rescued in Barranquilla, Colombia, with a huge hole in his ear and head, filled with maggots and infection. He was covered in ticks and therefore tested positive for all known blood parasites. He also had heartworm and was severely malnourished. Our sweet little coastal dog has been through so much, but he has overcome it all with courage and joy. After a long treatment and losing his ear, he is now healthy and an absolute sweetheart—super affectionate and cuddly, with SPECTACULAR fur that gets more handsome every day! Bizcochito
Bizcochito was rescued four years ago, soaking wet in the pouring rain. We saw him so tiny, shivering, and all alone that we couldn't help but help. He had a severe dental infection, so we had to perform two surgeries to remove teeth and molars that were in bad shape and preventing him from eating, causing him a lot of pain. A year ago, Bizcochito started developing a chronic cough, and after several tests, it was determined that he has a chronic allergic reaction to lung bacteria. Cleo
Cleo is 12 years old. We rescued her two years ago from a busy road. She was disoriented, waiting for someone to help her, and of course, we were there at that exact moment and place. Cleo has a heart murmur, her teeth were in terrible condition, and she had a gum infection. After antibiotic treatment, several teeth and molars had to be extracted because her gums were rotting, creating a gap on the side of her jaw that prevented her from eating and caused her intense pain. Cleo is almost completely deaf. She has a lump on her chest that, so far, isn't malignant, but we decided not to remove it because it's a very invasive procedure for her age. Coco
Coco is 9 years old. We rescued him from some homeless people when he was 8 months old. For a long time, he waited for his forever home, but no one adopted him, so we decided he should be part of our pack and not have to wait any longer for his family, since we already were his family. He's a very loving and sensitive dog who completely won us over. Coco has prognathism, a malformation of his jaw where his lower jaw protrudes, and microcephaly, which is when his skull is smaller than normal. This condition makes him a special dog who has some cognitive delays. Throughout all these years, Coco has always been very nervous and has never liked to eat much. His food has to be soft to help him chew it because his teeth are uncomfortable for him, a condition that is affecting his digestive system. In the last year, he developed chronic gingivitis, which has caused painful and bothersome ulcers. Eureka
Eureka was rescued eight years ago when she was running wild near an avenue in Bogotá. She was about a year old and had enormous teats, as if she had recently given birth. Although we searched nearby to see if we could find her puppies, we couldn't. After an hour of not knowing what to do, we decided to take her home because she wouldn't leave our side for a single moment. She was malnourished, had skin problems, and anemia. After months of treatment, she recovered, but a year after her rescue, she was diagnosed with Sticker's venereal tumor, a transmissible cancer among dogs. Thanks to early detection and a long course of chemotherapy, Eureka was cured. During these years, she was adopted by two families, who then returned her to us because they "didn't have time to care for her." So, several years ago, we decided she would be part of our pack, as she chose us from the very beginning. Although she has a lot of energy and is a giant, she is the sweetest love with both humans and dogs. A year ago, lumps started appearing on her body, and after tests, she was diagnosed with mast cell tumors, which are skin cancers. Don Quixote was rescued a year ago on an afternoon in Louevia, he could not move.
